This summer, Ms. Gomez attended the week long institute Cultural Proficiency in Today's Diverse Schools, courtesy of the longtime partnership between the NRPS and Primary Source, a leader in K-12 global education. As a result of the institute and accompanying graduate work an initiative project entitled Peace Rocks was conceived. Rocks will be painted with the word "Peace" in the languages that represent our families. Teachers and students have finally gathered enough smooth, round stones to dedicate to the creation of a peace garden in the courtyard this spring.
Please consider stopping by the art studio with your child on Academic Night which will be held on Thursday, February 15th to paint a base layer on one of the rocks that will be decorated by our students and families!
