Hello Little School Families!
We are way overdue with this letter on the website, but hopefully you’ve been seeing our periodic updates, following the PTO on social media and attending our meetings to stay in the know with all the various doings of the PTO!
It’s been a busy year for the Little School PTO, and we’re excited to wrap it up with out biggest fundraiser of the year, Little Laps! Once again paired with Field Day on June 11th, this fun run is full of individual incentives, class level prizes and whole school rewards, along with helping the PTO bring in funds for our ongoing enrichment activities and school enhancements. Stay tuned for details about the event, fun prizes and next steps!
We are in the process of updating the PTO bylaws. See the amended version here. Main changes include streamlining language to be inclusive of all, removal of some obsolete duties and items (IE box tops coordinator), and removal of some of the stringent in-person requirements in favor for hybrid arrangements. The bylaw amendments will be voted on at the June meeting, scheduled for Wednesday 6/12. Please pass along any comments upon review. A big thank you to Jenny Sawyer, Julie Elkins and Kelley Gramolini for helping with this revision!
The spring means in PTO nomination and election season! All positions are open for nominations, and we are specifically looking for a 5th grade coordinator and hospitality chair/co-chair! Election will be held on June 12. Please learn more and nominate HERE! Anyone in any of these roles would have all the help and assistance to succeed! Our next PTO meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 15th at 7pm, with the final meeting (and elections!) occurring on Wednesday June 12th at 7pm). Keep an eye out on the PTO website for news and information on enrichment, fundraising and other updates.
