The Magic of Reading show featuring Brian Richards visited the E. E. Little School for an assembly in advance of Reading Across America Week. This high-energy program reinforced to the students the importance of reading throughout their lives, while leaving them guessing how the magic tricks were performed.
With a little assistance from the audience, Brian introduced his favorite childhood books, including Abiyoyo and The Emperor's Seed, highlighting the fun and enjoyment of reading. The students were victorious against the teachers including Mrs. Aldrich, Mrs. Leavitt and Mr. Milone, in the Great Book Race. The assembly motivated our students to make reading a priority by visiting the library, opening a book and starting to read!
