In February, the first graders enjoyed a hands on geography workshop. The children were introduced to the concept of maps, globes, the world and it's habitats. They focused on animal habitats specifically and utilized an oversized world map to enhance learning.
To learn more about habitats, they enjoyed a puppet show about bird migration. Showing how birds look for a habitat that would provide the food and shelter they need. A fun and educational workshop was enjoyed by all the first graders and teachers.
