Lights & Lasers: First graders learn properties of light

The Discovery Museum brought their traveling science workshop, Light & Lasers, to educate and entertain our first graders.
Students compared white light and laser light as they identify key properties including how light must be reflected in order to be seen.

The kids worked together with flashlights, prisms, lenses, and a variety of materials that block, reflect, or allow light to pass through. They were wowed by reflection of light using a spray bottle of water. It was illuminating for all!
